EASTSIDE FORESHORE

Public BBQ

Eastside Foreshore stretches along Port Augusta's waterfront, offering a mix of recreational facilities for families and visitors. The park features both covered and uncovered picnic areas with ample parking available. Well-maintained lawns and mature ghost gums and Norfolk pines provide shade throughout the grounds. The foreshore includes a walking path that runs the full length of the park, though construction work occasionally impacts access. Tables and chairs are scattered throughout, with a basketball court and swimming area also available. Easy water access makes it suitable for launching small boats or fishing from the shore, though the beach quality is fairly average by Australian standards and heavily tide-dependent. The atmosphere is quiet and family-friendly, with a relaxed weekend vibe. The fenced-off wharf area limits scenic views somewhat, but the foreshore remains popular for sunset watching, with colours reflecting across the water. Some visitors note that Port Augusta has changed over the years, though the park itself maintains its appeal as a peaceful picnic spot.
